The transformation to a sustainable economy affects our customers and us in equal measure. It is our aspiration to actively shape this transformation. On the one hand, we are empowering our customers for their sustainable transformation. To this end, we are further expanding our range of innovative, sustainable products. On the other hand, we are driving forward the bank transformation.

Performance indicators of our sustainability strategy

Environment

Net zero portfolio

We aim to achieve net zero carbon emissions from our loan and investment portfolio by 2050. To calculate and set the target, we have joined the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).

10% sustainable loans

We want to permanently allocate at least 10 percent of our new loan business to sustainable projects and business models in order to actively support sustainable transformation.

Net zero banking operations

We want to achieve net zero carbon emissions in our own operations by 2040. In this way, we lead by example.

Social & Governance

40% women in leadership roles

We aim to increase the proportion of women in management positions to 40% by 2030.

Employee satisfaction

Our target for 2025 is to maintain or improve on our 2024 employee satisfaction score.

Zero tolerance for corruption

Our clear stance against corruption is a key Group objective. We implement comprehensive measures to prevent and detect corruption.

Excellent culture of integrity

The Culture of Integrity Score measures our integrity as part of the Risk Culture Assesment. Our aim is to achieve top scores permanently.

We are focussed on our goals

We set ourselves ambitious goals and pursue them consistently. In doing so, we always consider current developments and regulatory requirements and align ourselves accordingly. To ensure maximum transparency, we report our progress at regular intervals and allow ourselves to be measured against it. For example, individual performance indicators are relevant for the compensation of both the Executive Board and employees.
